Genital Warts
Genital warts caused by HPV, Human Papilloma Virus, which has more than 100 types; It can occur in the vagina, rectum and vulva regions of women who are sexually active. HPV capable of penetrating the skin and mucous membranes; While it does not feel its effect for many years in some people, it can trigger the formation of health problems that need to be treated in some people.
Although genital wart formation due to HPV is mostly seen in polygamous women, it would not be correct to make such a generalization. Genital warts, which can also occur in monogamous women; It is accepted that the risk of occurrence is higher in women who smoke, have a weakened immune system, have unprotected sexual intercourse, and have sexual contact with more than one person in the past. Although HPV is a sexually transmitted virus; It can also occur as a result of skin-to-skin contact with people who have warts on their body. This virus, which can pose a risk for both women and men, can manifest itself with different symptoms.
Genital Warts Symptoms
As we just mentioned, genital warts; more precisely, the HPV virus may not cause any symptoms for a long time in the infected person. The formation of brown and pink tones on the skin, millimetric skin lesions, bleeding and itching complaints are considered the main symptoms of genital warts. Invisible genital wart symptoms include bleeding during sexual intercourse and symptoms of itching in the vulva.
Genital Wart Treatment
The treatment of genital warts that may occur due to HPV should be determined individually. Variables such as the prominence of the lesions, their size, and the area where they occur may change the genital wart treatment process.
Medicines and medical creams can be used for the treatment of genital warts. The main purpose of this treatment is to support the immune system. Medication and medical cream treatment, which lasts longer than other treatments, can eliminate genital warts. At this point, it should be noted that genital warts disappear after treatment, not HPV.
In addition to drugs and creams in the treatment of genital warts;
